THE Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) will be holding a workshop this month to help the public improve their basic computing skills.

Members of DBP aged 12 or above who have borrowed books from the library are invited to register for the three-day workshop, which will be held from November 22-24 at DBP’s Balai Pameran in the capital.

The workshop will feature an introduction to the tools and functions of Windows and Microsoft Office as well as practical training. It will also include the basics of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

The course will consist of five-hour sessions on each day from 8.30am to 11.30am and 2pm to 4pm. Those who complete the course will be awarded certificates of achievement.

The workshop aims to give participants the opportunity to increase their knowledge of basic computing, particularly MS Office.

Registration is open until November 19 and the forms can be obtained from the DBP building in the capital.

The workshop is also part of the library’s efforts to attract the public by conducting more activities.
