STATE broadcaster Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB) will telecast two Korean hit dramas starting next month.

The move follows the recent signing of an agreement between RTB and the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE).

The South Korean embassy said recently in a press statement that A Thousand Days’ Promise and Cinderella’s Stepsister will be aired on RTB 2.

The embassy played a major role in facilitating the cooperation between KOFICE and RTB, it said.

RTB will broadcast the Korean dramas every Monday to Thursday at 9pm and the repeats every Tuesday to Friday at 11am.

It will begin the telecast with the first episode of A Thousand Days’ Promise on November 23 at 9pm.

The ceremony saw the handover of both drama agreements and drama files at RTB’s Broadcasting Complex in Sungai Akar.

RTB’s Acting Assistant Head of Programmes (Planning and TV Broadcast), Hjh Hasiah Ali, received the files from the embassy’s Third Secretary, Kwon Ja Young.

Also attending were officers from RTB’s Planning and TV Broadcast Section and a representative from the Korean Embassy.
