30-year-old man remanded for allegedly groping lady at bus stop

A 30-year-old man was remanded yesterday pending investigation into the charge of groping a woman at a bus stop earlier this week.

The defendant Dini Masir is facing a charge of using criminal force to outrage the modesty of a 30-year-old woman, when he squeezed her left breast and her left buttocks on October 10 this year at a bus stop in Jalan Perdana Menteri.

The penalty carries an imprisonment term of up to five years and unspecified number of whippings. A further mention of the case is set for this Saturday.
