TWO men were remanded on Wednesday to assist further investigations into a charge of theft at a private property.

At the Magistrates’ Court, Muhd Zulhilmi Abdullah, 26, and Mohamad Suhairy Suhardi, 38, were jointly charged with entering a house in Kg Delima Satu sometime in June this year and stealing a laptop and two watches.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Vuina Song told the court yesterday that further investigations were needed as Mohamad Suhairy was only recently arrested on October 4, adding that the police have not been able to get a statement from him as he has not been feeling well.

The prosecution also sought for Muhd Zulhilmi to further be remanded for investigation and assistance in locating exhibits.

She said that both defendants are suspected of being involved in other cases.

A further mention of the case is set to be heard on October 8.
