THE Australian High Commission yesterday announced that passport and notarial appointments can now be booked online.

Clients can book, reschedule or cancel their appointments at or through the High Commission’s website at

In a press statement, the high commission said appointments are required for all Australian passport and notarial services, including but not limited to the issue of certificates of no impediment to marriage, certifying copies of documents and witnessing of signatures on land transfer or mortgage documents.

Appointments are not required for passport collections or consular enquiries, it said. It also said that appointments for Australian passport and notarial services are available from 8.30am to noon on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, except for public holidays designated by the high commission which are listed on its website.

The high commission said it has operated an appointment system for passport and notarial clients since August 2015, adding that the launch of its online appointment booking system is part of the high commission’s continuous efforts to improve service delivery to clients.
