INSTALLATION work for concrete beams at the Jalan Gadong / Jalan Telanai flyover will resume tomorrow, September 24, affecting traffic flow in the area until work is completed, said the Public Works Department (PWD) in a press statement yesterday.

The department said the work will affect road users, especially those living around the vicinity of Telanai, Jangsak, Katok and Gadong that the installation works will be conducted from 11.30pm to 5.30am.

To ensure the smooth installation of concrete beams as well as to ensure the safety of all road users, the PWD statement said that part of the Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah Highway will be closed.

The affected area is from the Katok roundabout to the traffic light at the four-way junction.

Part of Jalan Gadong from Jangsak will also be closed. Motorists will be diverted to adjacent lanes that will be turned into two-way lanes.

The affected roads will be reopened once installation works are completed.

The Public Works Department would like to remind all road users passing through the area to drive cautiously and to be considerate of other road users.

Road users are also reminded to follow the road signs provided.

The department also advised road users to plan their trips in advance and to avoid passing through the roads affected by the closure.

For any complaints or queries, the department can be reached via its hotline on 123.
