POSTMEN from the Postal Services Department have been told to maintain an organised work culture in striving to improve the quality of the department’s delivery services.

During an engagement session held recently at Kuala Belait Post Office, Post-Master General Hj Mohd Manan Hj Lakim urged all postmen to abide by the orders and guidelines provided in performing their daily responsibilities.

He stressed that a systematic and honest work culture is crucial and must be maintained by all postmen in order for the delivery services to be more efficient and cater to the needs of the public.

During the session Hj Mohd Manan also explained to participants that several initiatives have been and will continue to be implemented in the future to enhance the quality of the department’s delivery services.

This includes daily visit by the Delivery Unit to monitor post offices, organising motivational and religious talks for postmen, as well as holding frequent dialogues between branch managers of post offices and inspection officers to ensure the department’s shortcomings can be promptly resolved.

A total of 22 postmen and officers from Belait District attended the engagement session where they shared and exchanged viewpoints and experiences of their jobs as well as shared various methods for improving these services.

The session also saw a mini workshop to assess the extent of participants’ understanding towards the department’s vision in upgrading the delivery services.

The department added in the statement that similar engagement sessions will also be held in Tutong, Temburong and Brunei-Muara.
