The programme’s coordinator for Brunei, Abdul Aziz Ahmad in an interview said the participants will undergo several physical and mental training session before they leave for Japan on October 25. The programme will be held for 51 days until December 15.

Abdul Aziz said that after the training is completed, the participants will continue their training with several seminars and talks that will be delivered by officials from the Ministry Of Religious Affairs, the Narcotics Control Bureau (BKN) and Health Promotion Centre at the Youth Centre from September 25-28.

“It’s important for the new member to learn leadership skills and attend the seminars before leaving the country as it will help them to improve their communication skills and motivate them to work together with other members,” said the coordinator.

He went on to say that Brunei’s former SSEAYP participants are also active in organising post-programmes which among its objective is to assist the new members of SSYEAP.
