PWD announces road closure along Jalan Gadong

PART of the Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah highway, from the Katok roundabout to the traffic light at the four way junction will be closed to make way for the installation of concrete beams for the flyover at Jalan Gadong / Jalan Telanai.

Part of Jalan Gadong from Jangsak will also be closed. The installation work will start on September 7th until October 5th. The work will take place from 11.30pm to 5.30am.

The Ministry of Development, through the Department of Public Works, issued a statement yesterday to inform the public, especially residents of Telanai, Jangsak, Katok, Gadong and its surrounding vicinity of the installation of concrete beams for the flyover.

To ensure the smooth installation of concrete beams and to ensure the safety of road users, motorists will be diverted to adjacent lanes that will be transformed to a two way lanes.

The affected roads will be reopened once installation works are completed, added the statement.

The Public Works Department would like to remind all road users passing through the area to drive cautiously and to be considerate with other road users.

Road users are advised to follow the road signs provided.

The department also advised road users to plan their trips in advance and to avoid passing through the roads affected by the closure.
