The annual event is held in conjunction with Indonesia’s Independence Day and will take place from September 3 to 5.
“The exhibition is in line with our Indonesia’s policy towards enhancing maritime resources,” said Indonesian ambassador Nurul Qomar.
Exhibitors will promote various maritime-related products as well as halal food, batik and songket.
Business owners from Bandung, Cirebon, Jakarta and Palembang, as well as the provinces of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), East Java will all be featured at the exhibition.
The Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Hj Ali Hj Apong will be the guest of honour at tomorrow’s launch, touring the exhibition and joining the public for an Indonesian cultural show.
The exhibition can be an avenue for Bruneian entrepreneurs to learn more about Indonesian SMEs and products in order to boost trade and business ties between the two countries.
The embassy will also be organising a business meeting between Indonesian entrepreneurs and their Brunei counterparts on September 5 at the Rizqun International Hotel.
