IBTE’s business campus welcomes new intake

THE IBTE Business Campus in Gadong welcomed a new intake of students yesterday.

An orientation was held at the campus’ Corporate Lounge, where 191 students who are part of their July 2016 intake gathered to listen to a number of briefings before beginning their classes.

Of these students, 120 are taking their National Technical Certificate in Business and Administration while 51 enrolled to take a Higher National Technical Education Certificate (HNTec) in Business and Finance. The remaining 20 students are enrolled in the HNTec in Office Administration.

The first day of their orientation began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat which was followed by a series of talks by the assistant registrar, student welfare officer and an extra curricular activities officer.

The newly enrolled students were briefed on school hours and campus rules and regulations while questions were also accepted from students relating to the briefings.

The orientation is expected to run until July 23, where they are expected to complete various procedures such as an insurance application as well as team building activities organised by the student councils and a Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration. It will end with a get-together with parents on the final day.
