Two injured in accident on Jerudong Highway

TWO local men sustained minor injuries yesterday following an early morning car accident on the Jerudong Highway.

In a statement, Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) spokesperson DSP Hj Mohd Noor Hj Abd Rahman said the police received a call about the accident around 5.03am.

The victims, a 42-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, had been driving a Ford Ranger and a Volkswagen Scirocco, respectively.

The older victim sustained minor cuts on his right arm while almost the whole body of his car was dented and its windshield smashed, the RBPF said.

Meanwhile, the second driver sustained a minor injury to his right eye area while his car received damage to its front bonnet and front right area, left mudguard area and windshield.

The spokesperson added that damage caused to government property during the accident included five safety signs and three safety poles.
