Slots open for Japan study tour

BRUNEIAN students who wish to participate in the one-week industrial study tour to Japan this December can now apply for the Japan-Brunei Friendship Association (JBFA) Annual Japan Study Tour 2016.

According to its website, the JBFA is once again seeking five Bruneian students to join in the programme that will run from December 5-11. The application deadline is on August 19.

“The main purpose of this year’s study tour is to visit a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant and to learn about how the LNG imported from Brunei is used in Japan,” the website stated.

The tour, it added, includes visits to a science museum and a number of technology showrooms in Tokyo. The participants will also have opportunities to experience Japanese culture by participating in a cultural exchange programme at a Japanese university.
