Applications open for Asian youth camp

YOUNG people from Brunei can apply to join the Youth Camp for Asia’s Future 2016, which will be held in South Korea.

The youth camp, which will run from August 2-14, will gather 205 participants from over 22 countries.

According to a press release issued by the South Korean embassy here, the youth camp is aimed at providing opportunities that can enhance understanding and future-oriented mutual cooperation through the interaction of the participating youths. It will also act as a training programme for ‘next-generation global leaders’ that are expected to lead Asia into prosperity and development.

The 13-day programme is expected to take place in Seoul, Suwon, Andong, Gyeongju and Jeju Island. Youths who wish to join should be 18 to 24 years old, able to communicate in English and be interested in international relations and Korean culture.

They should also submit a recommendation letter from their principal, professor or head of their company, the completed application form and a completed participant homecoming oath that is available at the embassy’s website

Qualified participants should submit the documents along with four copies of their passport to Ko Ki Young at and the embassy at no later than July 1.
