Pakistan acting high commissioner calls on RBAF commander, minister

THE Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces recently received a courtesy call from the acting high commissioner of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam.

On June 22, Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih Abdullah met with Ahmed Ali Sirohey where they discussed on the existing level of bilateral cooperation in the area of defence between the two countries.

During the meeting, Ahmed Ali extended an invitation to the RBAF Commander to attend the 9th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS-2016) event which will be held in Karachi, Pakistan, from November 22 to 25.

They also discussed an upcoming visit that will be made by the Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan and the Defence Secretary of Pakistan for a Bilateral Consultative Meeting between both countries’ Ministry of Defence.

Ahmed Ali also paid a courtesy call to the Minister of Education Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Suyoi Haji Osman where they discussed on bilateral agreement on the sharing of academic resources and scholarship opportunities. – Julius Hong
