The Ministry of Communications is calling for members of the public to cast their votes for the image revamping of the country’s public buses, slated to commence by mid-2017.

In a press statement sent by the ministry, a total of 112 entries were received from a competition that challenged the public to come up with public bus colours and designs.

The competition ended last month with the Land Transport Department currently evaluating the best designs that were submitted.

Ten proposed designs and colours have been shortlisted and the public may vote on their favourite design from Monday, June 20 until Sunday, July 3.

“Part of this project scope involves improving the overall public bus system image, not only through more efficient and reliable services but also through rebranding,” read the statement.

“This project is targeted to be implemented by the third quarter of this year for taxis and by mid-2017 for buses,” added the statement.
