Prime Minister’s Office holds tadarus ceremony

THE Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) held a _tadarus _ceremony yesterday at Al-Ameerah Al Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Jerudong.

The aim of the ceremony was to get pahala (rewards) and blessings from Allah SWT.

Among those attending were Chief Syar’ie Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Salim Hj Besar and Syariah Appeals Court Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Hj Awg Suhaili Hj Mohiddin.

Also present were directors, senior officials and personnel from the State Judiciary Department, the Department of Royal Customs and Traditions, the Civil Service Institute and the departments under the PMO.

The ceremony began with the handover of wakaf (gifts) in the form of two cabinets and a public address system by the chief Syar’ie judge to the mosque imam.

It was followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and the reading of Al-Quran, tahlil and Doa Arwah and concluded with thanksgiving prayers.
