MUSLIMS are urged to help one another to inculcate respect and a caring attitude, an official from the Ministry of Religious Affairs said.

This was highlighted by Mosque Affairs Officer Hj Abd Aziz Hj Md Yassin in his talk yesterday entitled, ‘Kelebihan Bersedekah’ ( ‘the benefits of charity’).

The talk was to commemorate a donation ceremony held at the Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque in Kg Serusop where 120 village residents received gifts and financial aid.

The Managing Director of Nazmi Textile Mall Nazeer Ahmad Zakariah and his family, donated the money and gifts to the poor and destitute, orphans and single mothers who live in Serusop and its surrounding areas.

In his speech, the chairperson of the organising committee, Imam Hj Muslim Hj Abd Razak said that making donations to those in need is a charitable act that benefits both parties.

Imam Hj Muslim also expressed his gratitude on behalf of the recipients.
