RIPAS Blood Donation Centre back at old site

THE Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday announced that the Blood Donation Centre at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital is now back at its original location on the ground floor of Block 8, following completion of upgrading works.

It was previously reported that in October last year, the centre was temporarily relocated to near the counter of the Outpatient Pharmacy Services at RIPAS.

According to MoH, the Blood Donation Centre’s operating hours will be from 8am to 11.45am, and from 1.30pm to 4.15pm.

However, throughout Ramadhan, the centre will be operating from 8am to 2pm, MoH said.

The health ministry also said that the RIPAS Blood Donation Centre will be running additional night services from 7pm to 9.30pm on June 9 and June 23.

The centre will also be observing World Blood Donor Day 2016 by holding blood donation campaigns on June 4 and June 15 at the MoH Al-Afiah Hall.

On June 4, the campaign will run from 8am to 11.45am, and from 1.30pm to 4pm, while on June 15, the event will be happening from 7pm to 9.30pm.

Another campaign will also be held at the RIPAS Blood Donation Centre on June 18 from 7pm to 9.30pm, MoH said.
