LARIS now equipped with online land payment function

THE Land Department at the Ministry of Development yesterday announced that the Land Application and Registration Information System (LARIS) is now equipped with an online land payment function. According to a statement released yesterday, the new service enables land owners to pay their pending land payments, including annual rent, stamp duty, premium and registration fees online. The public can pay using credit cards and will receive emailed electronic receipts in their e-Darussalam account.

The department said the new service is one of the continuous efforts to further improve their services to the public, especially towards facilitating the ease of doing business in the country.

The department is also planning for the online payment mode to be extended by including online banking.

The statement then concluded by stating that all land approval application made through law firms have been submitted through LARIS since May 1.
