Tutong Destination Programme active: CEO

THE Tutong Destination Programme has been active in the past year as highlighted by chief executive officer (CEO) of the coordinating body for tourism promotion yesterday.

CEO of the body Muhammad Amir Hj Umarali in his speech during the letter of appointment ceremony held at the Tutong District Office said that since the introduction of the “Destinasi Tutong” and the body last year several efforts to promote district led to an increase in the number of tourists and visitors to the district.

He went on to say that the increase was due to cooperation with the Corporate Unit at the Tutong District Office, Tourism Development department and other strategic partners.

It saw several activities and events that were organised such as Tutong Destination business matching with tour operators in Brunei; organising a Tutong Ethnics Heritage, Art & Cultural Day; visits activities through packages such as city tour, Tutong Cottage Industry Tour, Tutong River cruise; workshops and courses on tour guide under the Tutong Destination; and Tutong Earth Hour 60 event this year.
