THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) recently arrested a 31-year-old man suspected of several crimes, including a recent armed robbery.

In a press release issued yesterday, the RBPF said the suspect, who is a Brunei permanent resident, was arrested in Kg Pintu Malim on Monday.

During the arrest, the suspect had put up a struggle and brandished a replica firearm at police officers who had tried to stop him, the RBPF said.

According to the police, the replica firearm was released from the suspect’s hands before he was captured and brought in to the police station for further questioning.

The RBPF said it is currently conducting a detailed investigation on the suspect. It added that the case will be referred to the Attorney General’s Chambers.
