THE third International Consortium of Universities for the Study of Biodiversity and the Environment (iCUBE) Governing Board meeting will be held at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) on Friday.

Apart from the meeting, a launching ceremony for the iCUBE Pagon Exhibition Coffee Table Book, iCUBE Report and iCUBE exhibition will take place on Saturday.

On Sunday, a tree planting initiative to commemorate the third Governing Board Meeting at the Kuala Belalong Field Study Centre will be held.

UBD Assistant Vice Chancellor of Global Affairs Dr Joyce Teo, told The Brunei Times, “iCUBE is the consortium of eight universities – UBD, Korea University, King’s College London, Monash University, University of Auckland, Bonn University, National University of Singapore and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – to bring together the researchers with shared goals to inspire, stimulate and work on research to protect our earth and create a more sustainable, green future.

UBD is currently the Secretariat of iCUBE where UBD works closely with the other seven universities, she said.

This year, Dr Teo said iCUBE will introduce a new platform, the first of its kind, and this will be revealed on May 14 at the iCUBE exhibition at UBD.
