UTB to hold conference on data technology

UNIVERSITI Teknologi Brunei (UTB) will be organising an International Conference on Computational Intelligence in Information Systems (CIIS 2016) this November, bringing together expertise and professionals from academia and industries from around the globe.

The conference will be held at UTB from November 18 to 20. According to UTB’s website, the main goal of the conference is to understand better data technology and their applications within computational intelligence in information systems and to address the complex issues faced by the modern societies today.

“Never before in the human history that our world is so connected and flooded with huge amount of information in the form of data that has changed and transformed the way we live and work today,” UTB said.

The theme of the CIIS 2016 will be “Improving Quality of Life Through Connectivity.”

In addition, two invited speakers — Prof Dr Soo-Young Lee at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST, Korea), and Prof Lakhmi C Jain at the University of Canberra in Australia – will deliver talks.
