COMPLAINTS, health advice and general queries related to non-emergency services under the Ministry of Health can now be made via Talian Darussalam 123.
The Talian Darussalam service can be reached by dialling 123 or emailing email@example.com.
The ministry said on Wednesday that starting from April 27 this year, calls made to its Healthline service at 145 and direct line of the Ministry of Health at 2380989 have been re-routed to Talian Darussalam 123.
This is done as part of the ministry’s priorities such as to make ‘health everyone’s business’ and to enhance quality of service delivery.
The initiative is also in line with the core values of the Ministry of Health such as placing their clients first and pursuing excellence by upholding the highest level of professionalism.
The ministry has been making efforts to exercise continuous improvement at every level of the organisation, focusing on reducing wastage and turning it into value for the public.
As of May 4, about 50 callers have made general queries under the Ministry of Health and get health advice via Talian Darussalam 123. Other queries included getting advice on haze-related issues and vector-borne diseases.
Through Talian Darussalam 123, members of the public can get information about operation hours and phone numbers of health facilities in the country, health information not only on heat waves or hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) but also on current health events and health issues in the country with official advice.
The ministry expressed hope that Talian Darussalam 123 can be used as an avenue for the public to communicate with them.
Commenced in September 2013, Talian Darussalam 123 is a national call centre for non-emergency government services in Brunei Darussalam. It is an initiative from the government in providing good quality and efficient facilities for members of public to make complaints, enquiries and obtain information about the services by simply calling an easy-to-remember number at 123, according to its website at www.123.gov.bn.
The operators of Talian Darussalam, it added, will answer calls and efficiently direct callers to the information or resources they need 24 hours a day and seven days a week including public holidays.
Other government agencies who also can be contacted via Talian Darussalam 123 for matters related to non-emergency services include the Ministry of Development, Department of Electrical Services, Department of Land Transport, e-Darussalam and Public Service Commission (PSC) Recruitment System, the website said.
