MEMBERS of the public can now check the status of concerns and suggestions the Legislative Council (LegCo) put forward to the Energy and Industry Department at the Prime Minister’s Office (EIDPMO) on its website.

The department said the issues that were raised during the 12th LegCo session in March have been posted on its website at www.ei.gov.bn.

The status of each proposal or query by LegCo members will be reviewed every two months to indicate the latest developments on issues raised, EIDPMO said on its website.

The department added that if the general public have any questions, they can be reached by email via energy@jpm.gov.bn, using “MMN 2016” as the subject of the email.

Following the conclusion of the 12th LegCo sitting, Energy and Industry Minister Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Hj Mohammad Yasmin Hj Umar told The Brunei Times that all issues brought up at LegCo will be posted on the website with updates on their progress as the year progresses.

“We will put up every issue (pertaining to the energy and industry department) on our website and update the progress on each of them throughout the year,” he said.
