RBPF issues 10 compound fines during roadblock in Tutong

A TOTAL of 10 compound fines were issued in a roadblock and Stop and Search conducted by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) in Tutong on Saturday night.

Led by ASP Dk Nor Azriani Pg Anuar, the operation was conducted in three different locations in the district; Jln Kupang Km 28, Bukit Panggal Highway and Kg Layong Lamunin.

According to a statement by the RBPF, road users were fined for various offences such as driving vehicles with non-functioning brake lights and failure in displaying a valid road tax on the vehicle.

In the statement, the RBPF said that three vehicles were found to have non-functional lights on their registration plates and three cars were without white lights.

Other vehicles were found to have non-working brake lights, no pneumatic tyre, non-functional horn as well as no displayed road tax.

Meanwhile, a docket case was also recorded for an expired road tax offence during the police operation.

The statement also reads that a total of 37 personnel from the Tutong and Lamunin Police Station were dispatched for the operation.
