Car catches fire after collision

A VEHICLE burst into flames along the Muara-Tutong Highway following a collision with a truck yesterday afternoon, according to the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF).

The Suzuki Celerio caught fire near the 32.9km mark leading to Muara after an accident with an Isuzu truck driven by a 48-year-old foreign male.

The 27-year-old female driver of the burnt vehicle was later taken to Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital for outpatient treatment.

The RBPF said an emergency call was made to the Sengkurong Police Station at 12.05pm.

No further details were provided pending an investigation into the cause of the accident.
