THE Immigration and National Registration Department (JIPK) yesterday conducted the KESAN JIPK 25/2015 operation at the Setenaga Sengkurong business premises.

According to a statement released yesterday, the operation caught 11 foreign nationals, including five females, who failed to show valid immigration passes.

The foreign nationals were then brought to the Law Enforcement Unit for further investigations and the employers will also be investigated.

The department also held three other operations at a business premise, a rental room in Mukim Berakas and at a construction site in Mukim Kilanas on April 6.

During the investigation at the rental room, a male foreign national was believed to have run away from his employer and a report was filed on June 22, 2015, along with an immigration pass with an expiry date of March 11, 2016.

The investigation at the construction site found four foreign nationals who were brought to the department for further investigations as they failed to present any documents.

After further investigations, one of the foreigners was believed to have ran away from an employer, in which a report was sent to the department with an immigration pass with an expiry date since January 10, 2015.

The department said that they welcome the public’s cooperation in providing information on immigration offenders.

The public can provide information by contacting the department’s hotline through the numbers 8734888 or 8753888.
