Brunei, Pakistan to forge closer ties

THE Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism Dr Hj Abd Manaf Hj Metussin last Monday received the Pakistani Deputy High Commissioner Ahmed Ali Sirohey where the diplomat was briefed on investment opportunities and incentives in Brunei.

The two sides also discussed the possibility of arranging cultural events supported by the ministry where the culture and products of Pakistan could be showcased in Brunei.

The deputy high commissioner also called on the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Datin Paduka Hjh Suriyah Hj Umar last Tuesday where they discussed issues of mutual interest.

The permanent secretary offered condolences and prayers for the victims of the Lahore terrorist attack and was informed that the Ministry of Defence will be invited to participate in an upcoming defence expo in Pakistan and hoped that the ministry will be able to send a delegation.
