26 staff briefed on morals, ethics

TWENTY-SIX staff of the Belait District Office were briefed on the fundamental morals and ethics in the civil service across two days last week.

The Belait District Office hosted the course at the district officer's official residence from Tuesday to Thursday, with the manpower development unit briefing on how civil staff can inculcate positive values when doing daily tasks or dealing with the public.

Assistant training officer from the Civil Service Institute Hj Noor Husseini Hj Mohd Hussein lead the course's instruction, touching on a wide range of moral and ethical practices, from dress code, to public relations and professional relationships.

He also spoke on how to resolve problems in the workplace, and not to settle for routine solutions.

The district office in a statement said that it hoped that staff would take home points on discipline, obedience and teamwork. Assistant district officer Hasmiron Hj Mohd Taib was on hand at the course's conclusion to present certificates of participation.The Brunei Times
