THE DARe (Darussalam Enterprise) will be launching its Business Support Centre next month, which will operate five days a week.

According to DARe, the facility is intended to facilitate and act as a consolidated front-end to serve all key business-related processes.

The business support centre will be located at the Design and Technology Building in Anggerek Desa.

The key function of the support centre is to provide a single portal or venue, for businesses to access and submit business applications, such as permits, licences and registrations.

This includes getting industrial land and paying taxes, among others.

Existing and new entrepreneurs will also be able to obtain business advice and information, and at the same time learn about ways of applying for SME programmes, grants and loans.

DARe is a statutory body with the aim to nurture and support local enterprises from start-up to growth. Newly-appointed managing director/chief executive officer of DARe, Soon Loo, said: “DARe wishes to thank all the government agencies involved, as well as the SMEs for making the Business Support Centre possible.”

Meanwhile over the course of April and May, DARe will also be continuing with holding dialogues, inspirational sessions and workshops between existing and new entrepreneurs, and relevant government agencies.

On April 6, another dialogue will be held with food businesses; followed by an inspire session on April 8 by DARe board member, Del Goh.

On the 21st next month, another inspire session will be held by Soon Loo on “Accessing the global market”.

A business plan and building blocks’ workshop; financial management workshop and Enterprise Open Day in the Tutong district are also slated to be held over the next two months.
