THE Energy and Industry Department at the Prime Minister’s Office is organising another Enterprise Open Day (EOD) tomorrow at the IBTE Jefri Bolkiah College of Engineering in Kuala Belait.

Similar to the previous one held in January at the Design and Technology Building in Anggerek Desa, tomorrow’s event aims to provide assistance and services to enterprises from over 15 agencies comprising government, non-government agencies and financial institutions.

The event will also offer one-to-one clinics and talks for interested individuals, start-ups and existing enterprises.

According to DARe (Darussalam Enterprise), enterprises are also welcome to log in their business related issues, suggestions and inquiries at the DARe Business Helpdesk.

The one-day event will be held from 8am to 5pm, with a break for Friday prayers.

At the last EOD, businessmen and women who attended shared their thoughts with The Brunei Times, saying they were satisfied with the support services provided during the event.

One of the attendees, who was looking to start a business with her husband, said that the EOD saved her a lot of time in the initial stages of setting up a business.

“Although we came at 4pm, we managed to get a lot of (business-related) services and support we were looking for... compared to before when we had to visit several government offices to get things done,” she said.

One of the things that she succeeded in doing was getting financial management tips and advice, such as basic book keeping and how to run cashiers.

“A lot of people who start businesses do not realise it but cash flow management is very important and there is actually a standardised way of doing it,” she said
