THE Women Graduates Association of Brunei Darussalam (PSW) is undertaking an online survey on sexual harassment in the workplace.

A press statement from PSW said the survey aims to have as respondents women who are working or have served in the government or the private sector.

The survey seeks to explore and identify problems that may be faced by women on sexual harassment in the workplace as well as how far and how prevalent are its occurrences.

“Normally, victims may be afraid to make a complaint about incidences of sexual harassment or may not know who or where to make a complaint to.”

The study will also look at whether there are sufficient and systematic mechanisms in place to deal with complaints by victims of sexual harassment, PSW said.

Survey forms have been distributed through social media and email until April 8, 2016. Online survey forms are available at: http://goo.gl/forms/iVWa25ytbJ

PSW hopes women who receive the forms will be willing to support the project and provide full cooperation in providing accurate information that can help the association identify problems of sexual harassment in the workplace.

For further information on the project and online survey, the public can contact President of PSW Pg Hjh Zabaidah Pg Hj Kamaludin at 8719599, PSW Assistant Honorary Secretary Dr Hjh Hairuni Hj Mohamed Ali Maricar at 8772502 and Hjh Zuraidah Pehin OKPI Dato Paduka Hj Sidek at 8748636.

The survey is conducted in conjunction with International Women’s Day which is celebrated annually on March 8.
