THE Passport Section of the National Registration and Immigration Department (JIPK) in all districts will be extending its operations until Friday starting tomorrow until April 1.

According to a statement released by the department yesterday, the passport service counters will be open for the public from 8.15am to 11pm on Fridays at the department’s headquarters in the capital, along with the various branches in all districts.

The extension seeks to cater to the expected increase in the number of people renewing or getting their passports during the upcoming school holiday.

The department also advised members of the public who intend to travel abroad to plan early to renew their travel documents.

The department also reminded the public to ensure that their travel documents are in good condition and still valid.

The department also advised those travelling on land to also wisely plan their trips early and be prudent when using the control posts in Brunei.
