Royal Brunei Catering to provide meals at hospitals

ROYAL Brunei Catering Sdn Bhd yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Health (MoH) for providing catering services at health facilities.

Under the agreement, RBC will provide inpatient catering services to Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital (RIPAS), Pegiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital Tutong (PMMPMHAMB) and the Department of Renal Services for five years, the company said in a press statement.

Signing on behalf of MoH was its Permanent Secretary Hj Zakaria Hj Serudin while Ahmad Husaini Hassan, the general manager of Royal Brunei Catering Sdn Bhd, signed for the company.

The ceremony was held at the Department of Medical Services at MoH.

Also present during the ceremony was the Acting Director General of Medical Services from MoH, Dr Pg Hj Md Khalifah Pg Hj Ismail, and Deputy General Manager of Royal Brunei Catering Sdn Bhd Pg Hj Abd Rahman Pg Hj Mat Salleh.

Royal Brunei Catering Sdn Bhd has enhanced its patient meal service by using Burlodge Multigen/Minigen and Burlodge System RTS (Ready to Serve) meals.

“This is a transition from a traditional patient meal service to a modern high technology system for RBC patient meal services,” said the statement.

All inpatient meal services are delivered and served to the wards by trained RBC employees, it said.
