‘Cooperation essential for success’

Cooperation and understanding between superiors and their employees are essential to the success of every project and workplace task, said the Permanent Secretary of Religious Affairs (MoRA).

Dato Seri Setia Hj Abdul Aziz Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Hj Mohd Yusof made the comment in a speech yesterday during a Haflut Takreem (appreciation ceremony) at the Legislative Council building’s Banquet Hall to honour the former minister and deputy minister of MoRA who served from 2010-2015.

Present as the guest of honour was Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awang Badaruddin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Awang Othman.

Dato Hj Abdul Aziz said all work can be carried out smoothly with strong and constant cooperation between subordinates and superiors.

Alhamdulillah, over the past five years, the ministry made tremendous efforts in reaching its goals. All the work we successfully carried out clearly demonstrated effective leadership as well as productive management,” he said

He added there is more work to be done in all projects and everyone needs to cooperate in supporting the ministry.

“The successful implementation of the Syariah Penal Code in Brunei Darussalam has taken a long time to complete. It involves various agencies.

“The cooperation between each other has indeed led to fruitful results. Thus, continuous collaboration is needed for the success of future projects under MoRA,” said Dato Hj Abdul Aziz.

He said on behalf of the ministry, they would like to thank the former minister and deputy minister for their hard work and efforts in developing religious affairs in the sultanate.
