THE traffic lights installed at Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha, nearby the Istana Nurul Iman, will commence operation this Friday, said the Public Works Department (PWD) in a statement yesterday.

The facility is introduced in a bid to improve safety on the road.

It hopes to help road users share the road in an orderly manner while enabling uniformed personnel to efficiently control the flow of the traffic.

The PWD, in its statement, also advised road users to be cautious and to abide by the signages provided along the road to prevent any unwanted incidents.

Meanwhile, heavy vehicles exceeding 4.5m tall are advised to avoid passing through the flyover project area at Jalan Babu Raja/Jalan Tutong and to use an alternative route.

Any enquiries can be directed to the department through Talian Darussalam 123, or via its Facebook page under tha name ‘Jabatan Kerja Raya, Brunei Darussalam’.

Emails can also be sent to pro@pwd.gov.bn.
