RBLF officers briefed on drug-related offences

A TOTAL of 188 members of the first battalion of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) yesterday attended a briefing aimed at raising awareness on drug-related offences, especially within the military compounds.

Held at the Berakas Garrission, the briefing was delivered by RBLF Deputy Commander Colonel Hj Muhammad Haszaimi Bol Hassan, who is also chairperson of the RBLF Narcotics Control Committee.

Those attending comprisedofficers and senior non-commissioned officers.

According to the RBLF website, among the objectives of the briefing was to explain to all members of the RBLF on the policies and actions to be taken by the RBAF towards drug related offences.

The briefing was also aimed at providing a guideline and jurisdiction over the implementations of programmes related to addressing drug abuse.

This includes programmes aimed at eradication, education, rehabilitation, investigation and the carrying out of urine test procedures.

RBLF members attending the briefing also had an opportunity to address their queries during the question and answer session before the event was concluded with a prayer.
