REPRESENTATIVES from 20 selected agencies will complete a Public Sector Performance Grading Programme (3PSA) workshop by the Management Services Department (MSD) of the Prime Minister’s Office today.

The workshop is held to help the participants form their own Assessment Team to carry out 3PSA assessment at their respective agencies, said a press statement from MSD.

The five-day workshop was organised in two sessions involving agencies that deal with the public, the statement said.

The first session ran from August 31 to September 5. The second session kicked off on September 14 and is slated to end today.

The statement explained that 3PSA is a mechanism to measure governance effectiveness across the civil service based on the assessment criteria and scope.

The MSD launched the ‘Public Sector Performance Grading Program (3PSA) through Star Rating’ in March.

Since its launch, MSD has lined up several initiatives – including the 3PSA Workshop – to give those involved a better understanding on the 3PSA concept and assessment method.

“At the end of the workshop, participants are expected to be able to do their agency’s self-assessment in line with the 3PSA Guidelines. They were taught practical exercises, which include practicing the use of 3PSA check sheets, preparation of draft reports and assessing relevant documents,” the statement said.
