NEW nurses for paediatric services at the Women and Children’s Centre of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital recently received certificates following the completion of a four-day orientation programme.
According to a press statement issued by RIPAS Hospital, the programme consisted of 14 sessions of continuing nursing education on clinical nursing practices which were delivered by selected senior nurses from the Paediatric Department.
Among the aims and objectives of the programme were to foster a long-term commitment to the profession by facilitating socialisation into the profession and providing information regarding procedures and standards to the new nurses. Through doing so, it’s hoped that the new nurses will improve their skills and knowledge required to practise competently, effectively and safely within the organisation and perform as engaged and valued members of the organisational culture, the statement said.
In a closing ceremony, RIPAS Head of Nursing Administration Services Hjh Yusrina Ruhil Amal Abdullah presented certificates to the participants and speakers.
