THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) has launched a search and rescue mission for a 34-year-old Bruneian man who was reported missing near the Pandaruan River in Temburong since Saturday.

The search and rescue operation was launched on Sunday following a report lodged by the missing man’s family around 3.15pm.

The police in a statement added that they are still investigating how the man went missing around the Pandaruan River.

Bangar Fire and Rescue Station Commander Ajak Hj Jais said the man was last seen wearing a blue shirt and green shorts.

As the man was reported missing near the Pandaruan Bridge, the station commander said the operation is carried out in two Zones - Zone A from the ferry area to the bridge and Zone B includes areas beyond the bridge.

The missing man’s family also joined the search and rescue operation. While there are currently no clues as to how the man went missing and his whereabouts, the station commander hoped they would be able to find the missing man within three days.
