TWO hundred students, officers and staff of the Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB) held a tahlil (prayers for the deceased) ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum yesterday for the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

The ceremony started with the recitation of Surah Yassin followed by the tahlil and doa arwah led by Ustaz Pg Hj Amiruddin Pg Hj Damit.

Present as the guest of honour was the acting principal of the institute, Ustaz Pg Hj Haslin Pg Hj Ali.

The tahlil ceremony is one of the activities held in conjunction with ITQSHHB’s third ‘Haflut Takharruj’ or graduation ceremony.

The ceremony will take place on September 3 at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas.
