Themed ‘Seizing Opportunities Within Harmony‘, the AYCIF aims to highlight the innovative and creative work of youths of ASEAN and Japan.

The youths will join other participants aged 18 to 35 involved in the creative industry in Japan and the ASEAN region to showcase their finest work to experienced practitioners and experts in their respective fields.

The competition is open to four categories – fashion, product design and crafts, and games and applications as well as movies and animation.

It aims to stimulate participants’ creativity and entrepreneurship.

According to a statement released by the AYCIF, four Bruneian startups and organisations – Itsybytes Company, Dyvan Co, Michaele and Stellars, and Megabond Sdn Bhd – will be representing the sultanate in the competition.

The event, launched in February this year, will be hosted in Kota Tua, Jakarta, from August 29th to the 30th.

Among the objectives of the competition is to further improve and emphasise the regional opportunities within the creative industry across ASEAN to seek entrepreneurs with the most creative minds.

The delegates will also be given the opportunity to showcase their products and expand their network while sharing their expertise with other participants.

They will also be attending seminars and workshops which will be conducted by experts from the creative industry.
