THIRTY-ONE candidates comprising Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru) senior managers and participants from its Talent Pool Programme have been selected to undergo a one-year Leadership Development Programme.

The programme aims to upgrade participants’ skills and knowledge, and to develop their capabilities in keeping abreast with changing technology and environment. It also hopes to prepare them for leadership positions in the future.

TelBru CEO David Kay said, during the launch of the programme at the Equestrian Centre of the Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club in Jerudong, that the programme was developed in partnership with several leading organisations in the region.

Upon completion of the programme, participants will be certified by Asia’s first online university headquartered in Malaysia, he said.

Meanwhile, four selected TelBru staff will be participating in Telbru’s first Regional Development Programme, a six to twelve-month internship programme designed to equip them with technical, professional and cross-cultural exposure and experiences in an international business environment.
