Aid to family hit by crocodile attack

THE family which lost its six-year-old son to a crocodile attack last month in Sg Teraban will to use the funds donated to it for the education of 12 remaining children.

Sallehan Osman, the father of the deceased child, told The Brunei Times yesterday that the total sum of $10,833, donated by the Department of Schools under the Ministry of Education (MoE), would be prioritised for three of his children who are appearing for the Primary School Assessment, Certificate of Religious School Examination and O-Levels.

“We are approaching the tahlil of 40 days after mark, and although I continue to work, and my children go to school, we are grieving and still feeling numb over his death,” said Sallehan.
