THIRTY-FOUR foreign registered vehicles were warned by police yesterday for having tinted windows while driving in Brunei.

The drivers were asked to remove the tint from their windows during a road block set up by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) along Sg Enam near the Sg Tujoh Control Post yesterday morning.

The road block operation was aimed at raising awareness on Brunei's road laws and regulations amongst road users from neighbouring countries.

Assistant Officer in Charge of the Kuala Belait police station ASP Mohd Wafiy Zakaria and his team of 14 personnel made it clear that foreign vehicles travelling Brunei roads must obey the country's laws, which amongst others, prevents the tinting of car windows.

He also highlighted that legal action can be taken against those failing to do so.

One driver was also issued a summon yesterday for driving a vehicle without a working brake light. Yesterday's operation ran from 9am to 10.30am.
