THE Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) is holding a two-day training session to improve its officers’ negotiation skills.
According to AGC, an invited speaker from Singapore’s Advance Supply Chain Solutions Pte Ltd, Pavan Sharma, conducted a workshop on negotiation analysis and practice.
The AGC officers from various divisions like Civil, Criminal Justice, International Affairs, and Legislative Drafting attended the workshop.
The statement said the workshop used negotiation simulations, case studies and group discussion to highlight practical applications on the issues.
The training covered a range of topics — approaches in the negotiation of commercial agreements; preparation for negotiations with external organisations; conducting, evaluating and improving commercial negotiations; legal issues in the formation of the contract; and the agreement and evaluation of negotiation.
The training hoped to help AGC officers to turn their negotiating experience into expertise, said the statement.
According to AGC, the current speaker is the Country Manager of Advance Supply Chain Solutions, a company that specialises in procurement and logistics training and consultancy.
Pavan Sharma has over 25 years’ experience as a top executive in supply chain management training and consultancy.
Incorporated in Singapore in 1994, the company has established itself as a leading centre of excellence in supply chain training in Asia.
