THE Brunei Meteorological Department, through its official Brunei WX mobile app, has released a public weather advisory on the possibility of heavy and gusty showers crossing the nation within 24 hours.

An officer from the department told The Brunei Times, that the yellow category advisory was released as of 3pm yesterday and will expire today at 2.59pm.

According to the department’s advisory: “Risk of flash flood in continuous heavy downpour, especially over low-lying and flood prone areas. Wind speed of up to 40 km per hour in heavy downpour.” Members of the public are advised to download the mobile app ‘Brunei WX’ from PlayStore or Google Play, or contact the hotline at 114 for the latest updated wea-ther forecast.
