ABOUT thirty-five personnel from the Traffic Investigation and Control Department (JSKLL) of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) donated blood in the department’s blood donation campaign yesterday.

The annual event was held at the JSKLL hall in conjunction with the ongoing Raya celebrations.

ASP Fathdillah Hj Abd Hamid, JSKLL’s head of operations and enforcement, said the campaign was organised to help replenish blood supply for emergency services and medical needs.

“We hope to be able to help road accident victims and patients who are in need of blood donors to save lives,” he said.

ASP Fathdillah added that the agency has been participating in similar activities that are beneficial to the community once every three months.

“Other than doing enforcement and education approaches, we have also extended our community service (to the public),” he said.

JSKLL is the leading agency in the enforcement of traffic act and regulations in the sultanate.

It is also a member of the Brunei National Road Safety Council, said ASP Fathdillah.

Present to donate blood at the event yesterday was JSKLL Deputy Director Senior Superintendant Hj Mohd Hassan Pehin Penyurat Hj Ahmad.
